Full Moon in Libra: You’ve got to be it to see it

April 16, 2022 at 1:55 pm CST Full Moon in Libra Chart

This Full Moon in Libra is taking place on April 16, 2022 at 1:55pm CST. The Moon is at 26° Libra 46’ opposite the Sun at 26° Aries 46’. However, the Sun is in a separating conjunction with Eris at 24° Aries and both the Sun and Moon are square to Pluto at 28° Capricorn 33’, which is nearly stationary as it is going retrograde on April 29 at 28° Capricorn 36’.  These are all cardinal signs, which is initiating energy. Aries is the sign of I AM, of me, Libra is the sign of relating, of we, and Capricorn is the sign of achievement, of manifesting. The Sun in Aries opposite the Moon in Libra is the ultimate mirror: your relationships are a reflection of your relationship with yourself. With both square Pluto in Capricorn, it is a transformative aspect that is inviting us to transmute that which does not accurately represent that which we desire to manifest, to see out in the world. If we want to see it, we have to first be it. If you want loving relationships in your life, you must love yourself first. If you want more peace and harmony in your life, you must harmonize within first. If you want more freedom in your life, you have to cultivate the feeling of freedom within. But to get to this place, we have to transmute energies that are keeping us stuck in old stories, patterns, and behaviors. This is where shadow work is so helpful. I talk about shadow work all of the time here, and it is because it is important work. You cannot be who you are destined to be unless you are willing to face your trauma, pain, conditioning, and programming. If you are alive right now on this planet, then you have all of the above. It is not good or bad, it is just how it is.

In addition, Jupiter and Neptune are still very closely conjunct, though separating, so we are still under the influence of this beautifully mystical energy that can help us feel more love and compassion, which are essential tools for both healing yourself and in relationships. As you give yourself more love and compassion, you are able to heal and integrate yourself. In addition, you are able to energetically give that love and compassion to others, thereby bringing more harmony and safety into your relationships. As you are able to authentically be you, you create a safe container for others to authentically be themselves.

Mercury is approaching its conjunction with Uranus in Taurus, linking the lower and higher mind together in the most grounded and earthy sign of the zodiac. When we plant seeds in our lives that are fully aligned with our highest ideals and aspirations, we can take quantum leaps forward in our lives. Saturn in Aquarius is also in a t-square with the North Node in Taurus and the South Node in Scorpio, also showing us that the way forward is through shadow work and the embodiment of our soul values. You really do have to be it: breathe it, embody it, and live it before you can see it mirrored back to you from the external world. If you don’t know what love feels like, how would you know it out in the world? If you don’t know what peace and harmony feels like, how can you expect the external world to give it to you? If you cannot cultivate safety from within, how will you ever know safety in the world?
