On April 4, 2022 Mars conjuncts Saturn as they square the Nodes

April 2, 2022: Mercury conjunct Chiron. Mercury played a big role in the New Moon in Aries which was exact yesterday. Now Mercury has moved into its exact conjunction with Chiron, carrying the energy of the New Moon into this transit. This is a healing energy. The New Moon was inviting us to heal the wounded parts within us, the parts that were wounded when we suppressed, repressed, and denied parts of our authentic self to fit in, to belong, to be a “good girl or boy.” Mercury is how we think about ourselves, others, and life, and how we express those perceptions via communication. How can you give yourself the grace and compassion to know you are always doing your best under the circumstances? How can you allow all of who you are to rise within you and be seen, if only by yourself?

Mercury conjunct Sun in Aries. I love that Mercury is meeting with Chiron before it meets up with the Sun for illumination. Healing first, then illumination of what is next, what it is time to set loose, initiate, to go for. Aries is a very self-centered and fiery, active energy. This is an energy of thinking and doing at the same time; it is impulsive and reactive because the lag between stimulus and response seems instantaneous. But if you are coming from a healed place because you did your Chiron work, then trust that you are coming from a place of authenticity. Being centered in Self is not a negative thing at all. Self-centered people are better able to understand the needs of others as they have taken the time to understand their own.

April 4, 2022: Mars conjunct Saturn at 22° Aquarius square the Nodes. Mars moves into its exact conjunction with Saturn in Aquarius even as they are also both squaring the North Node in Taurus and the South Node in Scorpio. This is choice time. The Universe is going to present each of us, personally and collectively, with options. Option A: doing the shadow work, the deep dive into our desires and motivations so we can embrace our physicality and build lives from a place of authority, mastery, sovereignty, and self-responsibility. Option B: ignoring what is coming up for us and allowing external forces to use our unconscious fears, desires, and motivations against us, thereby disempowering ourselves and abdicating our self-responsibility; giving our power away; handing over our sovereignty and duty to make our own choices based upon what we feel is truly best for ourselves and our lives.

April 5, 2022: Venus enters Pisces. Venus is entering the home of both Neptune and Jupiter. Venus feels good here as well. It is, after all, a sign of unconditional love, and Venus loves love. Venus is considered the lower octave of Neptune, after all. Venus is not afraid to swim in the waters of oneness, no boundaries, the metaphysical, the mythic, the dreamworld, the spiritual. With Jupiter and Neptune approaching their conjunction in Pisces on April 12, we have a beautiful opportunity to feel more love, more compassion, more unity; we can also feel more emotionally overwhelmed and want to disassociate from our bodies and the physical world. It is okay to want a break from the world sometimes, so acknowledge when you do need to check out and do so with awareness. Now more than ever having practices that keep you in your body, grounded, and present in the moment are important (think Virgo).
