Venus conjunct Mars & Full Moon in Leo: Power of the heart

On February 16, 2022 at 8:28am CST, Venus conjuncts Mars; at 10:56am CST Full Moon in Leo

What a powerful Full Moon in Leo! We have the Full Moon at 27° Leo 59’ opposite the Sun at 27° Aquarius 59’ and both of the luminaries in a t-square with the North and South Nodes forming a Grand Cross in the Fixed signs (Taurus-Leo-Scorpio-Aquarius). The Fixed signs help bring stability and staying power, but they can also bring stagnation and stuckness. With the Sun and Moon and the Nodes involved, this is a time of choice. We are each, both in our personal lives, and collectively, at a crossroads of choice. One choice will allow us to move forward (though it is unknown and uncharted territory for us) and one choice will keep us mired in the past (the choice that is known, familiar, the safe comfort zone). You can tell which one is moving you forward because it will involve Uranus, with its revolutionary, freedom-loving, quantum energy of change and Taurus, a sign of groundedness, earthiness, embodiment, making things tangible, honoring the physical body and the earth and the resources it provides for humanity. If you find yourself searching for external security and control, you are grasping onto that South Node in Scorpio. Scorpios know how to turn poison into their greatest medicine when they work with this transformational energy. Emotions are powerful motivators, and when we know how to use them in service to our growth and evolution, we become truly powerful creators. Knowing what you value (Taurus) can help you navigate these deeply transformative (Scorpio) times.

Venus and Mars come into union at 16° Capricorn right before the Full Moon is exact, bringing us the powerful union of our feminine and masculine energies, our heart and will. When we are in touch with our hearts, we can take actions that are inspired by our desire for connection, collaboration, cooperation, and love. We are inherently heart-centered and loving beings. Separation is an illusion. Connection and unity are the truth of life, and the time is now for us to harness the power of love to build a better world for all of us. The Moon in Leo is standing alone in this chart, illuminating the collective power of the heart (Moon in Leo) to create “the more beautiful world our hearts know is possible.” The quotes indicate a book by Charles Eisenstein.

Sabian Symbol for the Moon (28° Leo): PHASE 148 (LEO 28°):

MANY LITTLE BIRDS ON A LIMB OF A BIG TREE.

KEYNOTE: A wide, and perhaps confusing, openness to a multiplicity of inspiring potentialities.

There is a stage in the spiritual life — which is not different from the everyday life — during which the consciousness, aspiring to greater realizations or more impressive forms of self-expression, feels itself flooded with new ideas and new possibilities. This can be very exciting, yet also quite confusing. It becomes necessary to focus oneself by limiting one’s field of vision and activity.

This third stage of the thirtieth five-fold sequence brings us the results of the two preceding ones. We should try not to be OVERWHELMED WITH POTENTIALITIES, yet should enjoy the wonderful lightness of feeling this may bring after perhaps many days, months or years of frustration or darkness.

If you want to look up the Sabian Symbols for yourself, go here. You round up when looking up the Sabian Symbols. So, to look up the Moon, I rounded up 27° Leo 59’ to 28° Leo, to find the Sabian Symbol.
