Even though Uranus has been in Taurus for years now, and will remain in Taurus for some years still to come (May 16 – November 6, 2018; March 7, 2019 – July 7, 2025; November 9, 2025 – April 25, 2026), I wanted to talk about Uranus in Taurus because of the major role Uranus is currently playing. Not only have we had Saturn in Aquarius square Uranus all year, but they will remain within one degree of exact square in 2022 as well. In addition, the Nodes of the Moon move into Taurus and Scorpio at the end of the year, and Uranus will be playing a major role in the eclipses that happen in Taurus and Scorpio. If you want to know more about the Nodes moving into Taurus and Scorpio, watch this incredible interview on the AstrologyHub podcast with Divine Harmony. I resonate with Divine Harmony’s astrological and spiritual perspective.
There are some things that are coming into collective awareness now that absolutely need to be addressed. The last time Uranus was in Taurus (June 7 – October 9, 1934; March 28, 1935 – August 7, 1941; October 5, 1941 – May 15, 1942), fascism rose to the forefront in Europe, Jews were rounded up and put into concentration camps, and World War II broke out. Though I thrive on inspiring and empowering people, I bring this up because we are seeing troubling trends leading down the same road. There is a saying that those who don’t learn from the past are doomed to repeat it, and I don’t want to see humanity go down that road again. All over the world, we are seeing things like vaccine passports, mandates, QR codes, and travel restrictions. This is all being perpetrated in the name of the “public good” and “public health.” However, as far as I can tell, the stricter a government is cracking down does not correlate with greater public health and well-being. In fact, anxiety and fear is going steadily up as more and more people fall into hopelessness and despair. I would say that this is more a pandemic of fear than anything else.
When you, as a soul, signed up to incarnate on planet Earth, you knew that your life was finite. Birth and death are two sides of the same coin. No one is going to cheat death. The greatest gift you can ever give yourself is to befriend death, to let it be a constant companion and reminder to not take your precious life for granted, to be your fullest Self and to do the things you incarnated into this world to do. Uranus in Taurus is here to help us do that, to be fully realized spiritual beings in human bodies, to embody our most authentic expression. And the only way you can do that is when you have the freedom to be yourself, to live your own life, to make your own informed choices. Freedom means allowing everyone equal access to choice, to choose what feels right for them, even if that goes against everything that you believe.
I fully support everyone’s freedom because I value my freedom. I think for myself. Uranus is partile conjunct my Ascendant. I don’t respond well to anyone else telling me what I should think, feel, or do. Being an individual expression of consciousness, I cannot look to anyone else for my answers, for what is best for me. Only I know what is best for me. That goes for each and every one of us. I just watched a really thought-provoking interview with a woman whose parents survived living in a concentration camp. It is what inspired me to write this post. I will leave you with a song that really inspires me to be my best Self and live my fullest life no matter what.
“I Won’t Back Down" Lyrics by Tom Petty & Jeff Lynne Well, I won't back down No, I won't back down You can stand me up at the gates of hell But I won't back down No, I'll stand my ground Won't be turned around And I'll keep this world from draggin' me down Gonna stand my ground And I won't back down (I won't back down) Hey, baby, there ain't no easy way out (I won't back down) Hey, I will stand my ground And I won't back down Well I know what's right I got just one life In a world that keeps on pushin' me around But I'll stand my ground And I won't back down (I won't back down) Hey, baby, there ain't no easy way out (I won't back down) Hey, I will stand my ground And I won't back down Hey baby, there ain't no easy way out (I won't back down) Hey, I won't back down (I won't back down) Hey, baby, there ain't no easy way out (I won't back down) Hey, I will stand my ground And I won't back down No, I won't back down
