The New Moon occurs on November 4, 2021 at 4:14pm CST. The Sun and the Moon are at 12° Scorpio 40’ opposite Uranus at 12° Taurus 47’. And Mars, considered the ruler of Scorpio until Pluto was discovered, is also in Scorpio at this New Moon at 3° Scorpio 33’. When in Scorpio, planets have a chance to dive into the emotional depths, uncovering subconscious motivations, drives, and passions that we have previously been unaware of, thereby empowering us with a more intimate knowledge of ourselves so that we may merge more authentically with others and life. Transformation is associated with Scorpio because you can only change when you have the courage to face yourself head on, shadows and light. Occult knowledge and practices are associated with Scorpio as well because astrology, tarot, alchemy, and other occult arts help you get to know yourself intimately and do shadow work. Power is associated with Scorpio because true power comes through knowing yourself so well that you cannot be manipulated by outside forces, whether intimate others or institutions, to feel things and do things that are not authentic to who you are and who you want to be.
With all of this transformative energy opposite Uranus in Taurus, the planet of revolution, awakening, and sudden insights, expect that as you take the deep dive into yourself, you have the potential to awaken into levels of yourself that have never been accessed before, allowing for sudden insights, ahas, and even quantum leaps into new ways of being human in a body on planet earth. Uranus in Taurus is the ultimate revolution in how we relate to our bodies and our health, how we relate to the Earth, and to what we truly find of worth and value.
Something else of note at this New Moon is Venus at 29° Sagittarius 28’ conjunct the Galactic Center at 27° Sagittarius 09’. With Venus in Sagittarius, ideally we have been stoking the fires of our heart flame, letting it burn bright and hot, stirred by visions that expand us and help us grow into more than we currently are. Now conjunct the Galactic Center, we can align with Divine Wisdom and trust that our visions are guided by a higher purpose and motivation.
We are ushering in Eclipse Season with this New Moon, it being the lunation before the first eclipse of the season, a Full Moon partial lunar eclipse in Taurus on November 19, which begins the eclipses in the Taurus-Scorpio axis that herald the movement of the Moon’s Nodes at the end of December.
