Full Moon in Aries: Your most important relationship

October 20, 2021 Full Moon in Aries Chart

The Full Moon in Aries occurs on October 20, 2021 at 9:57am CST. The Sun is at 27° Libra 26’ opposite the Moon at 27° Aries 26’. Mars is playing a big role in this lunation as well (Mars was conjunct the New Moon in Libra two weeks ago), being conjunct the Sun in Libra and opposite the Moon in Aries. The Sun conjunct Mars in Libra is fuel, passion, and drive to connect, to relate, to balance, to harmonize. The Moon conjunct Eris in Aries is initiation, fire, and determination to authentically be. The Aries – Libra axis is the Axis of Relationship. This opposition is asking you to examine your relationships, all of your relationships, most especially the one with yourself, because that is the foundation from which all other relationships are built upon.

To add even more power to this opposition, Pluto in Capricorn is in a t-square with the Moon and Eris in Aries and the Sun and Mars in Libra. Pluto is the great destroyer, the one who will come in and tear down that which no longer serves soul evolution. We can suffer a great deal of loss during a Pluto transit; however, if we work with Pluto, we can experience a great deal of empowerment as we willingly let go of what doesn’t serve so that we may move forward unburdened. Pluto in Capricorn has been square Eris in Aries for years now. It has been helping us to integrate parts of ourselves that we had previously repressed and denied because someone outside of us shamed us, coerced us, or otherwise manipulated us into believing that our authentic selves were not good enough, were not worthy of love. There is never any part of you that is not worthy of love, and when you can embrace all of who you are, shadow and light, you will have attained true power.

The Sun and Mars in Libra are each in a separating trine from Jupiter in Aquarius. Jupiter in Aquarius is giving us some much needed optimism, faith, and even wisdom in how to move forward in alignment with the highest good, not only for ourselves, but for those we are in relationship with as well. We can use the energy at this Full Moon to move forward in our lives in alignment with our souls, understanding that the most important relationship we can cultivate is the one with ourselves. Ultimately, it truly is the foundation upon which we build our lives, because life itself is relationship.
