Today we have a Full Moon in Aquarius at 7:02am CST, followed later in the day with the Sun moving into Virgo at 4:35pm CST. This is the second Full Moon in Aquarius in a month. The first one was on July 23. Two Full Moons in a row in the same sign is a rare occurrence. With both, the Sun was in Leo and the Moon is in Aquarius. Let’s consider the Leo – Aquarius axis. It could be called the axis of expression. Ideally, in Leo we find our roar, our authentic expression, and live our lives radiating our unique brilliance with heart and courage. In Aquarius, after our uniqueness has been refined in the fires of Virgo through Capricorn, we find that we are able to contribute our unique genius to our friends, communities, groups, and humanity, in the highest and best way.
This Full Moon in Aquarius chart shows what is called a Kite. A Kite is an aspect pattern that is made up of many aspects. The Kite is telling me that when we use these energies that are present at this Full Moon, we can soar into the sky like the kite. The Kite is made up of a Grand Air Trine of the North Node in Gemini, Venus in Libra, and Saturn in Aquarius. Venus and Saturn are both sextile the South Node in Sagittarius, and the North Node is opposite the South Node. Air and fire, mind and Spirit, thoughts and passion. With a Beginner’s Mind (North Node in Gemini), we can approach our relationships (Venus in Libra) and our roles in our communities (Saturn in Aquarius) in a different and inspired way. How might we express ourselves more fully, thereby contributing more of our unique gifts to the world, if we were more passionate, more inspired, more open?
With the Sun entering Virgo later on today, we can take the opportunity to purify ourselves even more. We have had Venus here, and we still have Mercury and Mars in Virgo for a little while yet. How can we be more discerning and discriminating with our attention, our energies, our life force? How can we live life in a more sacred way, tending our temples and the sacred flame within our hearts so that we can truly be of service to All?
