Jupiter enters Pisces: Living on a prayer

Jupiter enters Pisces on May 13, 2021

Jupiter enters Pisces today and remains in Pisces until July 29th. Jupiter will be at home in Pisces, as Pisces was once a sign that Jupiter ruled (along with Sagittarius) before Neptune was discovered. Jupiter is expansive, hopeful,  optimistic, and buoyant. Pisces is oneness, the collective unconscious, all possibilities, the metaphysical, spiritual, dreams, fantasies, illusions, and delusions. We are going to feel a boost of faith, hope, and optimism that propels us forward in our lives.

Neptune is also in Pisces, and Neptune is connection, intuition, Spirit, and imagination. With both Pisces’ traditional and modern ruler at home here, it will be easy to feel expansive and to dream big. It is important to not get carried away, especially since we have been put through the wringer for the last year and a half.

Too much of anything can be “bad” for you, so it is important to keep that in mind with Jupiter. Sometimes leaps of faith are required of us, but more often, it is steady faith that if we just put one foot in front of the other and take one step at a time towards our future, we will eventually get where we want to go. When you are living on a prayer, you have the faith to keep going towards what you want even when things don’t look like you thought they would or take longer to manifest because you trust yourself and your feelings to lead you forward.

Let this Jupiter in Pisces energy buoy your spirits and infuse your life with optimism and hope that tomorrow can be better than today because you know you are taking the actions necessary to live your fullest life.

I was inspired by AstroButterfly to call Jupiter moving into Pisces living on a prayer, as they mentioned “Livin’ On A Prayer” by Bon Jovi in their email newsletter about Jupiter in Pisces. I loved that song when I was a kid and still rock out to that song now. It does capture the Jupiter in Pisces essence.

Livin’ On A Prayer” by Bon Jovi

Once upon a time not so long ago

Tommy used to work on the docks, union’s been on strike

He’s down on his luck, it’s tough, so tough

Gina works the diner all day working for her man

She brings home her pay, for love, for love

She says, we’ve got to hold on to what we’ve got

It doesn’t make a difference if we make it or not

We’ve got each other and that’s a lot for love

We’ll give it a shot

Woah, we’re half way there

Woah, livin’ on a prayer

Take my hand, we’ll make it I swear

Woah, livin’ on a prayer

Tommy’s got his six-string in hock

Now he’s holding in what he used to make it talk

So tough, it’s tough

Gina dreams of running away

When she cries in the night, Tommy whispers

Baby, it’s okay, someday

We’ve got to hold on to what we’ve got

It doesn’t make a difference if we make it or not

We’ve got each other and that’s a lot for love

We’ll give it a shot

Woah, we’re half way there

Woah, livin’ on a prayer

Take my hand, we’ll make it I swear

Woah, livin’ on a prayer

Livin’ on a prayer

Oh, we’ve got to hold on, ready or not

You live for the fight when it’s all that you’ve got

Woah, we’re half way there

Woah, livin’ on a prayer

Take my hand, we’ll make it I swear

Woah, livin’ on a prayer

Woah, we’re half way there

Woah, livin’ on a prayer

Take my hand, we’ll make it I swear

Woah, livin’ on a prayer

Woah, we’re half way there

Woah, livin’ on a prayer

Take my hand, we’ll make it I swear

Woah, livin’ on a prayer
