April 11, 2021 New Moon in Aries Chart

April 10, 2021: Venus at 25° Aries sextile Jupiter at 25° Aquarius. What we most love and value is non-negotiable in Aries, the sign of desire and initiative and with a supportive energy from Jupiter in Aquarius, we could be feeling more optimistic, hopeful, and expansive about our futures. We might actually feel like we can have what we want, that we can create the future we want somehow.

April 11, 2021: New Moon at 22° Aries. There is a pile-up (stellium) of planets in Aries at the time of the New Moon: Chiron, Mercury, Ceres, Sun, Moon, Eris, and Venus. While Mercury and Chiron are off to the side of the Aries party, the goddesses (Ceres, Eris, and Venus) are flanking the Sun and Moon in the middle of the action. You could feel like being yourself and going your own way IS the only way right now. There is a lot of fire, initiation, and drive for authenticity. With a sextile from Mars in Gemini, we even have the physical drive to act authentically. If we are not listening to and following our heart’s desires right now, we could be feeling frustrated and even angry. And then we have all of this Aries fire squaring off with Pluto in Capricorn.

Venus at 26° Aries square Pluto at 26° Capricorn. This is deeply transformative energy, but only if you are willing to excavate and really examine the shadow. Where are you giving your power away? Where have you been inauthentic for the sake of fitting in to a culture that celebrates conformity and toeing the line? What do you love and value so much that you are willing to proverbially give society and mainstream culture the finger and go for it anyway? I suspect there is a lot of anger rising up as people realize just what they have been giving up for a power structure that doesn’t value humanity or what makes life worth living.

April 13, 2021: Sun conjunct Eris at 24° Aries and both sextile Mars at 24° Gemini. When planets enter Aries, they are inevitably going to join up with Eris, the goddess who won’t let us get away with inauthenticity. She is considered the goddess of discord and chaos, but only because she is a b.s. meter. Eris in Aries knows when we are being inauthentic and calls us on it. With the Sun conjunct Eris in Aries, we just cannot turn away from where we are being inauthentic. It will be painfully obvious. The good news is that Mars in Gemini is giving us the courage to do something about it. How can you be more authentic to yourself? What actions can you take that are in alignment with that truth you feel inside?

April 14, 2021: Venus enters Taurus. Venus rules Taurus, the realm of embodiment, the senses, pleasure in the physical. Loving your body, celebrating the beauty of physicality, the pleasure that can be had from smelling the roses, metaphorically and literally, is profound. The sacred is to be found in the physical world as much as the metaphysical, and Venus in Taurus can remind us just how wonderful it can be to live life, really live and have a visceral, physical, embodied experience of life.

April 16, 2021: Sun at 26° Aries square Pluto at 26° Capricorn. Venus was squaring off with Pluto at the time of the New Moon. What we love and value squared off with the current power structures and world we have built. But Pluto is excavating Capricorn, digging up the skeletons and shadow for us to see. The Sun will illuminate further what needs to be seen. Do we dare to look? It is only when we see what is that we can begin to make different choices to get us to where we really want to be.

Mercury conjunct Eris at 24° Aries. What we perceive and communicate is now joining up with Eris. Now perhaps we can begin to really communicate what is in our hearts and what it is we really want. The Venus, Sun, Moon, and now Mercury have all joined forces with Eris in Aries, giving us a powerful boost to be authentic to ourselves no matter what.
