In typical Gemini fashion, I could not decide which picture I liked best to represent Mars in Gemini. I know Mars in Gemini well; my Mars is in Gemini conjunct my Moon by a mere few minutes. I never act on anything without taking my feelings into account. That has been a curse and a blessing. More so a blessing now that I have achieved emotional maturity and heart coherence.
Mars is how we get what we want, our drive, our passion, what we do to move our lives forward. Gemini, in its highest expression, is Beginner’s Mind. It is truly like entering the temple of the unknown, of infinite possibilities, with wonder, curiosity, and enthusiasm. The North Node is also currently in Gemini, so collectively, we are being called to be more open-minded and curious about different perspectives. Gemini is the first air sign, so it makes sense that Gemini is the most innocent and childlike of the air signs. Gemini is the small child who goes around asking “why?” Gemini loves communicating, learning, storytelling, networking, information gathering, asking questions and truly being curious and open to the answers. Gemini is opposite Sagittarius, where the South Node currently resides, and that is where we form beliefs, philosophies, and even dogmas. If we lose our childlike curiosity, we can become stuck, stagnant, and mired in beliefs that may or may not even serve us or really even be true. The question to ask yourself right now is “do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy?” That sums up the Gemini – Sagittarius axis so well right now.
Let Mars in Gemini help you take actions with playful curiosity and wonder. Be prepared to learn, try new things, have a childlike openness and creativity, and don’t be afraid to fall down or even fail. No one become a master overnight, and Gemini knows that better than anyone, as they playfully leap into the unknown with the abandon of someone who just wants to experiment and see what happens. Mars will be in Gemini from March 3 until April 23, 2021.
