Cancer: The power of nurturance

From thecozyapron.com

Cancer is associated with the Moon, which as it orbits around the Earth, helps to stabilize us. It envelops the Earth in its embrace, helping to nurture life. So too does the sign of Cancer seek to express nurturance. There can be no nurturance without love. Love, whether love for yourself, love for another, love for a pet, love for a project, love for your garden, or anything else you wish to nurture, the “secret” ingredient is love. Through nurturance, people, relationships, plants, projects, anything that requires care and attention, will truly thrive and be able to grow into its fullest expression.

From The Sunday Guardian

It is only with strong roots that anything is able to thrive. Cancer represents home, family, the past, our ancestry, our roots, our foundation. It is only with strong roots, a strong foundation, that anything is able to reach out towards the Sun. Without those strong roots, without being strongly rooted in who you are, you cannot reach your highest expression. Wounds, trauma, conditioning, programming, challenges, things will come along that will blow you over if you are not rooted in yourself. Whatever your past was, whatever your home is like now, use it as compost for your fullest expression. Know that you have everything you need inside of you to fully embody and express who you are. Nurture yourself, let love guide your life, and you will truly be the seed that grew into the magnificent oak tree.

I nurture what I love.

This is the seventh part of a twelve-part series where I go over the twelve signs of the zodiac, Aries through Pisces. I have already posted Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio.
