Scorpio: The power of metamorphosis

Highest expression of Scorpio

I am learning Scorpio in this lifetime. My Ascendant is in Scorpio closely conjunct my Uranus. My North Node is also in Scorpio in my first house. And Pluto is conjunct my Sun in the twelfth house. Now they are both in Libra, but I consider the 12th house to be very transformational as well. And Pluto is the modern ruler of Scorpio. If I don’t willingly fall on the sword of transformation, my life gets ripped out from under me anyway, so I have gotten better with letting go. I still feel loss and grieve, but I am better able to see that the loss allowed me to gain more of my authentic Self. The loss is always a part of me that was never authentically me or a part of me that was holding me back from moving forward in a bigger way. Transformation is defined as: “a thorough or dramatic change in form or appearance; a metamorphosis during the life cycle of an animal; in physics, the induced or spontaneous change of one element into another by a nuclear process.”

I love the mythology of the Phoenix, which I consider the true symbol of Scorpio. A Phoenix rises triumphant from its own ashes. Scorpio is the sign of alchemy, of transforming lead into gold, of learning how to harness the power of emotions to propel your life forward in a positive and consciousness-expanding way. Emotions show you where you are out of alignment with your authentic Self. Empowered Scorpios have gone to the underworld and brought back their treasures, are not afraid of the dark and the shadows in themselves or others, and emanate a real power that can be felt from anyone who comes into contact with them. It is a power that does not need the approval of others or need to exert itself over others. It just is.

I am the one who rises out of the ashes of what no longer serves me and reclaims my power.

I am an astrologer, healer, and artist. I love nature, creativity, and learning (especially anything that helps me understand myself, others, and the world better and live a more fulfilled life). I am very heart-centered and open-minded and believe that we are all sparks of divinity in form.
