Weekly Sacred Astrology, Nov. 21-27, 2020

November 21, 2020: Just when you thought you could not take any more deep emotional healing, Venus enters Scorpio. Even as the Sun moves into the optimistic and mutable fire sign of Sagittarius, Venus takes her journey into the depths. Venus in Scorpio asks you to truly examine your desires. Are they truly coming from your heart? Scorpio season is always asking more of you, asking you to really examine yourself at the deepest levels. Only through honest examination can you uncover what is not really you or what no longer serves you. When you free your energy up in this way, alchemy takes place. Through alchemy, we become more of who we really are.

With the Sun in Sagittarius, we might begin to feel a little more optimistic about the future. After all, Sagittarius is the archer, with their arrow aimed at the heavens. Even if you don’t feel like you can move forward quite yet, now is a good time to start thinking about that long-term vision. Where does your heart want you to aim your arrow?

What is in your heart meditation: Close your eyes. With both hands on your heart, take a couple of nice, deep breaths, imagining your breath flowing in and out of your heart. Let this become natural, your breath flowing in and out of your heart. Think of what you most love in the world: people, pets, places, things, whatever you love, imagine them. Feel the love spreading over you like the warmth of the Sun, feel it infusing every cell of your body. Bask in this feeling for as long as you want. When you are ready, ask your heart what it wants from you. Is there anything your heart wants you to know? Write down anything that comes to you.

November 23, 2020: Mercury in Scorpio trine Neptune in Pisces will give you a boost of energy for those dreams. Perhaps you have been through the ringer this year, perhaps you have had the best year ever. Regardless of where you are on the spectrum, now is a good time for dreaming in something new. This energy supports the Sun in Sagittarius.

Now is a good time for journaling. What can you see more clearly now because of what you have been through in 2020? What is really in your heart? How have your values changed? What is your long-term vision? When you write out your vision, it is important to write it out as if it is happening in the present tense. And really have fun with this, writing out as many details as you want. Imagine yourself in your vision, and feel the feelings that you believe this vision will bring you. Then ask yourself, how can I feel those feelings right now? And then cultivate those feelings to manifest your vision.

November 26, 2020: Sun in Sagittarius trine Chiron in Aries today. How appropriate that on this day we celebrate Thanksgiving in the United States, we have cosmic support to heal, with an optimistic and visionary Sun supporting Chiron in healing its wounds of inauthentic beingness, of not feeling good enough or worthy enough.

Today is a great day to practice gratitude. Take 10-15 minutes to write out what you are grateful for, either in the morning when you get up or in the evening before you go to bed. You can also do this with friends and family, if you are fortunate enough to be around the ones you love today. Have each person spend a few minutes speaking what they are most grateful for this year. Nothing is too small or inconsequential to be grateful for. Just speak from your heart. If you really want to raise your vibration, practice gratitude daily. Take some time each morning or evening to think about or write out what you are grateful for.

November 27, 2020: Mercury in Scorpio sextile Pluto in Capricorn. As Mercury flies through the last degrees of Scorpio, transforming the way you perceive yourself and the world as it does so, it picks up on a boost of energy from Pluto in Capricorn. What has Pluto been renovating for you this year, and how might you see it differently now? Perhaps you can see that your life has transformed for the better, opened up a space for you to be more of who you really are in your heart?

Venus at 7 degrees Scorpio opposite Uranus at 7 degrees Taurus. Venus is picking up right where Mercury left off. Venus opposite Uranus brings with it a sudden shift in values. Or perhaps not so sudden if you worked with Mercury as it retrograded through Scorpio.

Think back to whatever you have been working through since October. Mercury opposed Uranus three times between October 7-November 17. How has the way you think, communicate changed since the beginning of October? Venus opposite Uranus brings a shift in values, and though it may feel sudden, it is really only a logical progression that follows after the realizations you had when Mercury opposed Uranus.
