I do a lot of work with my archetypes, and Jupiter is no exception. Lots of astrologers call Jupiter the Great Benefic, the planet of good fortune and blessings. But expansion is only positive insofar as it is for your highest good. You can expand your waistline at the expense of your health or expand your bank account at the expense of your happiness. But you can also expand your mind to consider different perspectives and possibilities and you can expand your heart to let more love into your life. As always, it is a choice in how we use our energies.
I am using older people to represent this archetype because I think you have to be older and have life experience to fully embody this archetype. We have a tendency these days to cast aside our elders and their stories, but learning from the past is necessary in order to move forward into the future with clarity and grace, knowing what served and what needs to be let go. True wisdom is born from embodied personal experience. A wise woman/man always acts from their deep well of Divine Wisdom and uses that wisdom to continually improve themselves, their lives, and the world around them.
